Why waterless
A flush is treated drinking water, sent straight to the sewer.
A conventional urinal uses about 0.5 to 4 litres each time someone steps up to it. In a school, a station or a hotel that adds up to a water bill and a wastewater bill for a job the drain can do on its own.
Urine leaves a URIMAT bowl through a vertical membrane. The membrane opens while liquid is flowing and closes against gas from the sewer. There is no oil layer to break, and no flush rim holding residue. Our part is to match the bowl to the room and to keep the trap and the cleaner in the maintenance plan.

Drinking water stays in supply
A busy bowl avoids on the order of 100,000 litres a year, using URIMAT’s published reference.

Both water charges drop
Supply and wastewater are billed on the flush. Remove the flush and both lines move. The tariff and the traffic set the size.

The flush gear is gone
No valve, sensor or cistern on the urinal. The part that is replaced on a cycle is the odour trap.

Less pipework in new buildings
A cold-water feed and a cistern are not required at the urinal. The waste connection remains.

Existing rooms can be converted
Where a waste point is already in the wall, the bowl can be changed without bringing water to it.

Sewer gas stays in the pipe
The seal is mechanical. It does not depend on a layer of oil that a bucket of wash-water can break.

The bowl is simpler to clean
There is no flush rim holding water. Use is touch-free, and a biological cleaner is the routine.

Urine can stay undiluted
Flush water is not mixed in, so a project that wants to recover urine as fertiliser can keep it separate.
