Are you the URIMAT contact for North Macedonia?

Do waterless urinals smell?

The bowl drains into a vertical membrane. The membrane opens while liquid flows and closes again, which keeps sewer gas in the pipe. There is no oil seal to break. Smell control depends on that trap being seated and replaced when the red indicator shows.

What maintenance is required?

There is no flush valve or sensor. Day to day, the bowl is cleaned with the biological cleaner. The MB-ActiveCube inside the trap limits deposits. When the cube is spent, a red field shows under the cover and the trap is exchanged.

Can an existing washroom be converted?

Usually, where a waste connection is already there. The urinal does not need a cold-water feed or a cistern. We look at the waste run, the traffic and access before recommending a model. The contractor carries out the installation.

How much water is saved?

URIMAT’s published reference is at least 100,000 litres of drinking water per urinal per year on a busy unit. A conventional flush uses about 0.5 to 4 litres each time. The calculator applies your own visitor numbers and tariff.

How fast is the payback?

URIMAT cites a return inside two years on busy projects. That is not a promise for every room. Payback follows the purchase price, how often the bowl is used, and the local water and wastewater tariff. We work it out per project.

Which buildings suit this?

Public and semi-public washrooms: offices, hotels, schools, clinics, stations, sports halls, shops and civic buildings. The model follows traffic, the risk of hard use, and the interior. A rarely used private toilet is a weak case.

Do you work with architects?

Yes. We help with model choice and with notes for the schedule. We do not replace the project’s sanitary engineer. Installer guidance covers the waste connection and the fact that no flush water is brought to the urinal.

What is URIMAT Connect?

Selected bowls carry a static display or a screen, so a venue can place a message where people already stand. It is part of the urinal range and is supplied when the content and the power supply are known.

Who sets the guarantee?

Guarantee terms are the manufacturer’s. Ask us for the current conditions when you specify, and we will send what URIMAT provides for that model.
